Around the Earth, the magnetic field created by its core is essential to life. It protects the earth from solar radiation, guides the navigator’s compass, and may have played an important role in the evolution of life on Earth. The science magnitude shows that its magnetism is gradually decreasing. What if tomorrow’s magnetic field disappears?

It is believed that the earth’s magnetic field is generated deep in its core. Nobody has ever the center of the earth. But by studying how earthquakes and earthquakes travel across the Earth, physics is able to work out their guesses.

So this cycle (geodetic) is continuous. Due to the spiral motion of the Coriolis force, the magnetic fields are roughly aligned. Their combined purpose is to create one large magnetic field around the Earth.

Reuters reports that Earth’s magnetic field is gradually weakening. Science 160 has been measuring this weakness in magnetic fields over the past 160 years with magnetic observatories and satellites.

John Tarduno, a geophysicist at the University of Rochester, told Live Science that the magnetic field is now about 80% polar. The idea is that it acts as a rod magnet. In the past, the magnetic field has toppled and shifted north and south to its present location. The last time such a turn occurred was in the era of Homo erectus 780,000 years ago.

Mathematical representations show that such a reversal would take thousands of years to complete. This is faster than geological standards but slower on a human scale. Sometimes the magnetic field is reduced and the excursion returns to its original position.

The Earth has two poles. For ease of identification, we have come to an agreement between “North” (= Upper) and “South” (= Bottom). During the popularity of voyages, the Chinese placed the compass in the south. The Southern Cross helped the voyage. Egyptians draw the Nile River, and Arab maps like Morocco. In 1979, MacArthur published a sophisticated map of the South, and he had heard from American friends that he had come from the bottom of the world.

The influence of European mappers, especially Ptolemy’s map, is the compass at the top of the north, which may be considered the norm, but if you go down from space to space, you will see no difference in the north-south. For there is no end to the sphere.

Pilots and astronauts at high altitudes are exposed to high levels of radiation during magnetic storms, but the cause is actually the radiation, not the magnetic field.

The Impact of the Earth’s Magnetic Field on Human Health

Earth’s surface’s magnetic field has no direct impact on human health, and geomagnetism affects electronic-based technological devices. Otherwise, solar storms can kill organisms and electronics. Without the magnetic field, the solar wind would dissipate the Earth’s atmosphere into free space. NASA states that it may have had water and air and that the solar wind had lost it.

When the magnetic field is lost, the compass will never work. There is no modern physical compass, and mobile telecommunications hardware in mobile phones supports Google Maps. Humans are not the only animals using the Earth’s magnetic field for travel. Many birds, sea turtles, lobsters, bees, salmon, and even fruit flies are biological compasses. They are called magnetic acceptor types.

Birds use this ability to find a warm climate in the cold, and sea turtles search for beaches to lay eggs in the open ocean. Science says that many turtles come to the same beach every year. This is another function of their natural compass. That is, if the cosmic rays and the sun kill us, “the north-south will change” and animals and humans will become extinct.
