Bill Gates

He is a co-founder of Microsoft. Bill Gates was born on October 28, 1955, in Seattle, Washington, USA. His father’s name is William Henry Gates Jaysh senior and his mother’s name is Mary Maxwell Gates. His father was a prominent lawyer. He attended Lakeside School, where he became interested in computerization.

He was 13 years old when he wrote his first software program on a school computer, and when he was in high school, he and several of his friends computerized their school payroll. His future business partner is Paul Allen, a senior at Lakeside.

At the age of 17, Gates teamed up with Allen to launch a business called Truff-So-Data to build traffic counters based on the intel 8008 processor. He graduated from high school in 1973. Bill Gates was a National Skills Scholar and scored 1590 out of 1600 on the SAT. He entered Harvard College at the end of that year. As a university student, he was not interested in studying other subjects but spent more time on computers. His friend Allen suggested that Bill drops out of school to start a business.

Launch of Microsoft

Bill Gates and Paul Allen collaborated on the invention of Microsoft in 1975. Initially, they adapted BASIC, a popular programming language for microcomputers. It was successful and they developed programming language software for various systems. In the 1980s, IBM, an international business machine, was developed by Microsoft to develop IBM PC, IBM’s first personal computer. Microsoft created the PCD operating system, which they once paid IBM for $ 50,000.

Microsoft launched its first retail version of Microsoft Windows on November 20, 1985, as a graphical operating system shell for MS-DOS. In August of the following year, the company entered into an agreement with IBM to develop a separate operating system called OB / 2. In the following years, Windows dominated the global personal computer market, capturing more than 90% of the market share. The company had great financial success and Bill Gates, the company’s largest single shareholder, made a fortune.

Windows 95, was released in 1995, setting new standards and features for operating systems. This version of Windows is the backbone of all future releases from Windows 2000 to the latest XP and Vista. The Windows CE operating system platform and the Microsoft Network were among the innovative solutions developed during this period.

Gates married Melinda French on January 1, 1994, at a golf course in Lanai, Hawaii. He is 38 years old. She is 29 years old. They have three children.

In January 2000, Gates resigned as CEO of Microsoft. The new position of Chief Software Architect created by himself. Over the next few years, he gradually transferred his duties to Microsoft and began to devote more time to selfless work. In 2015, Gates and his wife Melinda Gates Padma Bhushan won the third-highest civilian award for social work in India. In 2016, President Barack Obama presented Gates and his wife, Melinda, with the Presidential Medal for their generous efforts.
